About 93Bibles

Hello! I'm Calix

Bible-rebinder at 93Bibles

Christian, Husband, Father, Pastor, Missionary. Christ saved me when I was 16; I have loved His Word ever since.

My fascination with "premium Bibles" started when I saw one being used by one of my lecturers at London Seminary. It was an R. L. Allan NIV. I immediately fell in love with the world of beautiful Bibles. When I finished my course, I wanted to mark the occasion with a “premium” NIV: a Cambridge Clarion.

Later on I realised you can have a "premium Bible" made through a Bible rebinder. I have been prayerfully considering with my dear wife for a long time whether I should take up this craft. We launched 93Bibles (inspired by the date when we got married) in May 2025.

I had a dual purpose in mind with this; allow me to elaborate on them briefly.

Our philisophy

Hand-bound Bibles "for glory and for glory and for beauty" (Exodus 28:2)

This has become the strap-line for 93Bibles. It comes from the description of the priestly clothes made for Aaron and his sons; holy garments, for these were used in the ministry in the tabernacle, God’s dwelling place on earth.

My conviction is that Bibles should be produced beautifully, for the same purpose: they are holy books. The Holy Bible is the one written revelation from the Living God, that we might know Him, and see His glory.

Therefore, we aim to craft beautiful, lasting Bibles that will be a delight to use, and will last, standing the test of time — in this way outwardly reflecting what the Bible is like in its contents.

Our Bibles made to order can be richly customised to produce a Bible that will be uniquely yours.

Our Ready-made Bibles are my interpretation of classic Bibles, the colours of Hungary (we're a Hungarian family), and of the Island of Madeira.

Our mission

Tent-making for a missionary family

I have been serving the Lord and His people as Pastoral Elder at Rehoboth Grace Baptist Church, Horsham, England, since January 2016.

When I was training at Seminary, I visited a missionary family we support as a church, working on the Island of Madeira. The Lord began burdening my heart to join the work started there, and make Christ known in this beautiful, though spiritually needy island. In 2025, our church voted to send us out as missionaries — and now, with the help of Grace Baptist Mission, we are aiming to move to the Island by the end of this year, and join Christ’s Church, Funchal.

Every purchase you make at 93Bibles contributes to our ministry.
